VACANCY NO. KSI/PSB/EA/4/2021: WARD ADMINISTRATOR (7 POSTS)

TERMS: PERMANENT / CONTRACT

This vacancies require applicants from the following Wards i.e. Bassi  Chache; Bassi Masige West;

Nyacheki; Boochi Borabu; Bogeka; Kegogi; and Moticho.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinating and facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies, plans and delivery of services;
  2. Enhance administrative capacity for effective functions and governance at the local level;
  3. Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements;
  4. Facilitating inter-governmental relations and conflict resolution at the Ward level;
  5. Mobilize revenue collection and play a critical role in building businesses registers of ratepayers and business people in the ward;
  6. Overseeing safe custody of county government assets in the ward;
  7. Coordinating and liaising with other directorates and departments in the ward;
  8. Supervision of development projects in the ward;
  9. Providing linkage between the office and the community;
  10. Disseminating information to the public at the ward level;
  11. Articulate implementation of Articles 10 (on National values and principles of governance) and 232 (on values and principles of public service) of the constitution to the citizens;
  12. Exercise any other functions and powers delegated by the Sub-County

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade an officer must:-

  1. Be a Kenyan Citizen and originate from the Ward applying
  2. Have Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Management from a recognized university (Masers degree will be an added advantage)
  3. Have thorough understanding of devolution, the county development plans and
  4. Have a work experience of at least two (2) years in administration and management at senior management level.
  5. Certificate in computer applications from a recognized
  6. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution
