(a) Duties and responsibilities

  • Receiving and connecting calls;
  • Routine testing of exchange lines and switchboard facilities; and
  • Maintaining telephone records.

(b) Requirements for Appointment.

For appointment to the grade of Telephone Operator II, a candidate must: –

  • Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean Grade D+, (plus) or its Equivalent with at least D+ in English and Kiswahili; and
  • Be proficient in computer applications.
