VACANT POSITIONS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
MINISTRY OF HEALTH
PRINCIPAL REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER I (ANAESTHESISTS) SIXTY (60) POSTS – V/NO. 73/2021
Salary Scale: Ksh.87,360 p.m – Ksh.121,430 p.m. (CSG 7/ JG ‘P’)
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  1. A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution;
  2. A Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine (Anesthesia).
  3. A Certificate of Registration by Clinical Officers‟ Council.

NOTE:
Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
Duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

  1. Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients‟ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility;
  2. Implementing Community Health Care activities in liaison with other health workers;
  3. Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues;
  4. Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
  5. Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
  6. Collecting and compiling clinical data; and
    Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities.
